cables, cushions, cinderella and....cardboard???

enjoyed a bit of knitting the past few nights while pre-viewing a DVD that i planned to show to my 6th graders at school.  you should rent it, if you didn't see it on the big screen.  it's a cute, fun, and very colorful re-make of a cross between Cinderella and Mary Poppins. sooo fun!

and an inspiring film to knit to...be sure to watch for the pink and yellow sheep!  while watching i've been knitting on a cabled, sweater bag and another Noro pillow cushion. fun, easy knits.  just what my mind needs right now.

oh, and about the cardboard.  it's what i've been sniffing all day.  in fact the whole Jr. High wing of the school smells of it.  we're all packing. feverishly.  5 days and 1 hour left!! next year we are all in the new building.  boy have i saved a lot of junk!

BTW: about the paper shredder...hubby fixed it in no time, i did get an "i told you so" along with a "that's why we shouldn't have a garbage disposal"!!  Argh!!

back in the swing of things

i'm trying to ease into things slowly.  but it's not all that easy.  i was in bed at about 9 last night.

i've been back at school for two days and had a weekend away.  all has been going well, don't have any complaints, but i am just a bit tired out.

in knitting news i'm still juggling my time between multiple projects, so no FO but it has been fun working on many different things at one time.  (my moods have been varied).  those projects on the needles are: the "one year old" baby project, the "purl" socks, scoop du jour sweater,  the turtleneck shrug, and Eleanor Scarf/Throw.  still too soon to say who will come in first place.  at this point i think it is a tie between the turtle and scoop.

last night i rented and watched The Upside of Anger while i knitted on baby project and tonight i will re-watch an old favorite; Amelie and again knit.  (hubby is working late).

this weekend we will be traveling to michigan for the weekend.  looking forward to time with family and will take another pottery class.  should be a relaxing weekend.

now......let's just make it through the rest of this week.......uneventfully!!!!
