wonderful possibilities
no i didn't swim out too far into the ocean...never to return. or sink too far into my beach chair and haven't been able to get out. or walk too long on the beach with my head down, looking for sea-shells, got lost and realized i've walked all the way around!
although those all sound like wonderful possibilities.
i'm back.....i finished a trashy beach read about a gal in her forties who goes back to her childhood summer camp to fix it up for her parents 50th anniversary party that's being planned there and falls in love with an old flame that just happens to be working on the place too....blah, blah, blah. perfect read for the beach or pool. left it, my last day at the pool for someone else to discover. now i'm back on track with my normal literature reads. my little book about choices listed on the sidebar is a good first of the year find and i've got a new, real, novel going too.
i knitted myself a new scarf over the holiday. it's good that i did. winter is finally here. knitting with all that wool in a warm climate doesn't bother me a bit though, guess i'm weird that way. anyway...love, love, love it!!! it was knit with a soft, simple, yet dreamy, green yarn. the colorway was called "lettuce", describes it well. and it was just the color of all that sea-lettuce that washes up on the shoreline. the pattern was a simple 2 row repeat with a few twists and turns. just enough to keep you interested, easy to memorize, the perfect travel project. i didn't work on it at all at the airport waiting to head out. i was all about the people watching for whatever reason. but knitting on the plane was great and a few moments here and there added up to a scarf when i returned home.
