the first day

of christmas i finished my christmas shopping!!!!!

found that final item that i was searching for.  yahoo!!  score!!!  then came home and wrapped some gifts.   you either hate wrapping or love it.  i actually enjoy it.  i have a ping-pong table.  i mean that is what ping-pong tables are for right?  wrapping gifts and folding laundry.

when i was a little girl, the oldest of 12 grandchildren, sometimes i would get the job of wrapping all the christmas gifts for my grandmother.  i thought i was so special, and i got in on all the secrets.   she was a big-time shopper!!!  she didn’t have a ping-pong table but a big double bed worked just the same.

tonight i’m going out to dinner!!!

oh, BTW, the previous post was done last night at 8pm, on the 13th, don’t know why it shows the 14th.  just a FYI so you know i’m on track here with my 12 day thing.

we had our yearly “christmas party with a purpose” this past weekend.  it was a lot of fun and a great success.  this year we sponsored a local food pantry and my guest room is full of about 30 bags of groceries that will be picked in a few days.  it’s a fun way to see old and new friends, meet new neighbors and collect items to help others.

only about two weeks until christmas!!!!!!!!  today being december 13th marks 12 days before christmas, so…….. on my 1st day of christmas…

i did some christmas shopping, then had tea, some christmas candy (leftover from the party), and addressed my christmas cards.

i must do some knitting before bed.  i have some stitches that need to be done on time!
