hello sunshine
i just can't seem to shake this yellow thing.....
it's all yellows and sunshine around here and i'm not talking weather.
it's not just the yarn anymore....oh, there's all-sorts of yellow on the needles: i'm making that saffron, frilly scarf and there's a little baby something in a few shades of yellows and khakis, and i'm making Teva Durham's Ballet T-shirt in sunset (it's going to be more like a fitted vest).
but this yellow is spilling over into everything.
could it be because hubby has a little remodeling going on in his office and there's a sunny paint shade going up in there?
walking through the grocery store the other day i spotted the most beautiful saffron-flowered Kleenex Expressions box. oh yeah!! you know those new oval shaped ones! had to have it. i've always been a bit of a Kleenex aficionado. just ask my anyone in my family, i'm always looking for just the "right" tissue box.
then at Borders last week while looking for a few new reads i came across this title: The Yellow House. it's a story of VanGogh and Gauguin and the time that they live and painted together in the South of France living in the famous Yellow House.
i put it in my pile.
i went to get a pedicure today and there was a mom and a daughter there together doing the same. the little girl was about 13, they must have been on a "girls-day-out". that thirteen year old was getting daisies painted on her big-toes. how cute and sunny. it made me think of YELLOW. and if i was 13....i would have had what she was having!!!!
i'm hitting the high seas tomorrow in search of a little sunshine myself. see you in a few days. in the meantime, look for some yellow to fit into your life.
