fun fresh starts

Happy New Year!!!!

yep i know it's the 3rd day into the New Year. i haven't been lost. just busy and a bit lazy at the same time.

some fun fresh stuff that's going on:

went to IKEA and bought a Vika Gruvan and Snille (work table and chair) for my home office. and spruced up that space. i have a day-bed in there and my Feb project for that room will be giving that new sewing machine a work out and making some new pillow and comforter covers. that's a fresh start.

did you watch Jamie Oliver's Great Italian Escape Series on the Travel Network? what a fun show! i love food and travel shows. this was the best of both. and Jamie...he's just funny. one of the books on my Christmas wish list this year was his new one based on his travels. it's a cookbook that sort of reads like a travel journal. i've so enjoyed just the first few pages i've had time to read....he has a podcast too, but be warned...it's a bit "raw" (no pun intended). that's some new fresh cooking ideas.

bought and brought out the new calendars. one of my fav things of the New Year!!!! so fresh.

so..i've made my decisions on 2 small mindless knitting projects, 2 paperback novels, my nano is loaded with my fav podcasts and music, my sandals are packed and we're hoping for sunny weather.  hubby and i are catching a plane this afternoon for a few days of white sandy beaches. that's re-freshing.

gotta go, see you next week.

2 - That sounds like a great holiday, I hope the weather is nice for you. Jamie Oliver is also one of my favourite TV chef's. We were lucky enough to eat at his Fifteen restaurant in London, where the food is out of this world. The great thing is, the profits aren't just lining his pockets but going towards helping out underpriveleged kids. He's just opened a restaurant here in Australia too. If you ever catch the series about it, it's worth watching. (Comment this)
